Westlife’s 2024 tour dates continued the band’s reputation of putting on spectacular shows for fans old and new.
The 2024 tour kicked off with Westlife’s first ever headline tour of North America, covering a number of locations in Canada, the US, Mexico and Brazil. The US dates were billed as ‘The Hits Tour – A St Patrick’s Day Special‘. While in New York City, Westlife switched on the green illuminations of the Empire State Building, for the annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations (Source: Irishstar.com).
Following the North America shows, the Hits Tour continued across locations in Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea.
Dates in China in June and July 2024 were advertised as the With Love Tour, described as “a concert tour specially dedicated to Chinese fans on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the band’s formation” (Source: shine.cn).
Audiences in China were treated to a new setlist, including Westlife’s rarely-performed rendition of Beautiful in White – the song originally featured on Shane’s third solo album, Love Always.
Missing Mark on tour
In 2024 Westlife toured as a 3-piece, with Kian, Nicky and Shane performing. Mark announced a temporary break from touring with Westlife in Feburary 2024, in order to focus on his health and recovery:
“It is with the upmost level of regret that I must now temporarily stand down from all Westlife touring until a time that I have had the chance to fully recover from the turbulent journey I have been through as an individual.”

Mark said he was “devastated” that he couldn’t tour with the lads. Westlife put out a statement:
“We would like to take this opportunity to send our brother, best friend and fellow band-mate, Mark so many well wishes as he takes the necessary time he needs to recover.
“Mark has been so strong in continuing to show up on stage despite going through such a turbulent time with his health and we completely respect that he must now focus on getting better so he can return to the stage when he is fit and well to do so!
“In the meantime, we will continue to fly the Westlife flag higher than ever for you guys. Love Kian, Nicky and Shane.”
