Is The Ultimate Collection a Greatest Hits album?
Yes, if you’re looking for the most comprehensive Westlife greatest hits album, The Ultimate Collection is it!
Westlife released their previous Greatest Hits album on 18 November 2011, a whole fifteen years before the newest compilation album. The Ultimate Collection is much more up-to-date, and has a total of 25 tracks, compared to just 18 tracks on Westlife’s 2011 Greatest Hits.
The new compilation album features two of Westlife’s newer hit singles taken from their most recent albums: Hello My Love (released 2019), and Starlight (released 2021), as well as four brand new tracks, recorded in 2025, that haven’t been released before.
13 tracks on The Ultimate Collection are the same as on the 2011 Greatest Hits; of course, since they’re both albums of Westlife’s best-loved, and greatest, hits!
The Ultimate Collection also includes six additional Westlife hits from previous years, which for weren’t included on the 2011 Greatest Hits album: When You’re Looking Like That, Bop Bop Baby, What Makes a Man, Seasons in the Sun, Fool Again, and Unbreakable.
If it’s a greatest hits album, are all of the tracks number 1’s?
The album includes thirteen tracks which reached number one in the charts in the UK. The only Westlife number 1 single not to be included on the album is The Rose, which features on Westlife’s Love Album, released in 2006.
What singles were released from the album?
22 of the 25 tracks have been released as singles in total! To date, there’s one brand new single released for for download/streaming that’s unique to the The Ultimate Collection:
- Chariot, released on 25 October 2025, which was written by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran
