Hiya!
My name is Gemma Sweeney, I'm 17 and I went to see Westlife on Valentines Day in Newcastle. It was probably one of the best nights of my life so far! The guys were great.
They had a live band and they sang live which I totally respect them for - it mush be difficult when you've got all those hard dance routines to keep up with. Their voices didn't falter once; they were absolutely amazing! Mark was able to hit some really high notes and he really had a chance to show off his great voice. Shane's voices was really strong as was Kian's which was a surprise for me (I'd always thought he'd been a great singer but not this great!), he really impressed me when he sang 'Wild Thing' on his own whilst playing the guitar - that guy has talent! Bryan's voice was also very strong as was Nicky's. I think people will really stand up and take notice at the fact that they did it all live.
Right at the beginning when they sang 'Dreams Come True' Mark's flies kept falling down - it was so funny!!! Mark also made up some lyrics when he sang 'More than Words' which all the guys picked up on and started laughing at him for.
Their dancing was impeccable - hands down to them, they can dance - all of them! The routine for 'When you're looking like that' was brilliant. They were all really friendly to the audience which went down well. My favourite part though came right at the end when they sang 'Flying Without Wings' and came out into the audience on a piece of scaffolding - that was truly amazing. I was screaming like mad and managed to attract Kian's attention - he waved at me!
I thought it was a great idea when at the start, on the video screen it said 'Dreams can come true' and at the end it said 'Dream Over'. It really was like a dream - I enjoyed every bit of it and I've captured little bits of it on my 2 films that I took!
Inevitably I had lost my voice when I came out but I didn't care - I'd just had the best night of my life!
