Manchester concerts
Review by Fiona

hi my name is Fiona and so far ive seen Westlife twice at MEN Arena, Manchester 23/24 February soon to return to see them again 6/7 April.
I won radio tickets for 23 February so had very good seats near the front of the arena. I must say the lads didn't let us down, it was the best live stage show i have ever seen - they sounded fantastic, their dancing was great and they looked like they were really enjoying themselves. I have a very big soft spot for Shane and Nicky so was very happy that they spent a lot of time on my side of the stage. They did say this is the biggest arena on their tour holding around 14000 or so and the fans made so much noise it really added to the occasion. I loved all the songs but especially Uptown Girl - its always been a fave song of mine since Billy Joel first recorded it years ago.
Also Flying without wings was done very cleverly where the lads get onto some sort of scaffolding which comes out over the audience and for the people who are further than half way back in the arena this is the perfect opportunity to wave to the lads and actually believe it is you and you alone they are waving back to. They did of course perform all their No. 1 singles which to all fans i don't need to list plus a wonderful motown section which i really had fun dancing to - in fact i danced non stop, my legs were aching by the time i went home :-).
I may be one of Westlife's older fans (early 30s) but who cares, its the music that counts and they are all so gorgeous, what harm is done. I would recommend their concert to absolutely everyone. Good luck Westlife, you deserve your success!!!!
