Korea, 31st May
Review by Sung-Ah Song

In brief, it was great and fantastic but too short!

Opening guest was Christian Wunderich, a German handsome singer. He was a new artist to Korean fans but his singing and stage manner was very sincere and enthusiastic. We Korean fans gave him hearty cheers. However the opening was too long (30~40 minutes) and Westlife appeared in white clothes on stage at 8:40 p.m. (Actually the concert started at 8:00 p.m.) We shouted of joy and acclaimed so loudly. They looked like 5 angels from the heaven.

First they sang "Dreams come true" and "No no". We were very delighted to see their cute dancing. We could make sure that Westlife could dance very well besides singing. The opening part of the concert, they sang mainly dance music to heat the mood up.

After 2 songs, Kian walked in the middle of the stage and said his own greeting. The orders were Kian, Nicky, Shane, Bryan and Mark. Mark got the hottest cheers because he was the only member who greeted us in Korean "An-nyong-ha-se-yo!" (Hello in Korean).

They sang "When you're looking like that", "Somebody needs you", "My love", "Swear it again", "More than words", "Seasons in the sun", "You make me feel", "Uptown girl", "If I let you go", "What makes a man" and a medley of 3 songs which were unfamiliar to me.

In the case of "My love" and "Swear it again", they passed their mikes over us and we sang the song in loud voice. All of the people in the concert hall had already memorized the English lyrics of their songs.

We sang a "Happy birth day song" to Mark and Mark shaped a big "heart" to us. (With his arms raised and gathered on his head. Can you imagine it?) We were all fell in love with Mark's lovely action!

Bryan jumped down from stage and shaking hands with fans in the right corner of stage. His surprising action made us pleasant. Other members showed funny actions such as kicking each other. Kian played the guitar and it made him look more romantic.

When they sang "Uptown girl", there was an unexpected guest, Sa-Rang Kim, 2000 Miss Korea (She won a "traditional costume prize" in 2001 Miss Universe.) She danced with them and many fans felt envious of her.

They sang "Flying without wings" and "I lay my love on you" for encore song and fade away into the darkness. We shouted "Encore" desperately but they never appeared again. At that time it's 10:00 p.m. It seemed too short but we had to stand up and go home.

I cannot forget their concert and look forward to seeing their next concert in Korea. I hope that they will be more mature in music and show us more friendly and punctual fan meeting event. I also hope that they will be a long-run group like Beatles. I'll close for now sending all my love to Westlife.
