I was so upset when i first read the news. I refused to believe it. But reality hit me i cried the whole day. Watching the conference and seeing Bryan Kian and Mark crying was too much to handle. bryan was and always will be my favourite Lifer. ive loved westlife right from the start and Bryan was always my no.1 . I thoroughly support his decision because i know he has his reasons for quitting and wish him the very best alwayz. I hope Kerry, Molly and Lily realize how extremely lucky they are to have Bryan and treasure him. I thought it was all a bad dream wen i heard bryan was leaving i was like someone pinch me and ill wake up and westlife will still be 5 and not 4 but i knew that wasnt going to happen, I was ging to miss bryan like crazy he had always been my fave, always making me laugh at the flim clips he would always be that one the would be mucking around, the one that stood out from the rest of the guys (im not saying that the rest of the guy werent special).

I was just reading all the messages on here an i just wanted to say that Westlife will carry on without Bryan even though he was the funny one and that the real fans should support them through everything and prove the press wring that a band can survive when a member leaves. Bryan will be missed but his reasons for leaving were good reasons and we should respect that. Bryan wasn't my fav but he was gorgeous and Kerry, Molly and Lilly are the most luckiest girls alive and i wanted to say goodluck to what Bryan does in the future.
To the rest of Westlife(especially Nicky) i'll support you through everything and i'll see you on the 16th and 18th April in Glasgow(i'm in the front row). Lets prove to everyone that you are UNBREAKABLE. As long as you keep us in your heart you'll always be in your heart.

I've been a Westlife fan ever since the beginning and I'm going to miss brYan so much.. But of cours I'm still going to support Westlife and I would never let them down.

i cant believe that bryan has left westlife. People r saying bry is being spiteful for what he has done, well i just want 2 say that he isnt being spiteful hes doing it for his family, and i no that he loves the other four from the bottom of his heart. I can't believe Bryan has gone! My favourite is Shane but I will really miss Bryan. When I saw them on Richard and Judy, they talked about splitting up and Richard said that someday they will call it a day because of course, they will die and they will get old and they want to have it on tape so they pretended that westlife are splitting up at that time and Bryan was the one that said '...we wanna call it a day...', it was funny because it looked real and true. And then in the 'westlife greatest hits tour 2003'DVD/VHS it was also Bryan who anounced that westlife aren't splitting up. It was a coincidence that it was Bryan that left the band. I guess we all have to move on. No-one actually cared about Bryan in my school because no-one likes them in my school apart from me. I'm the biggest fan of westlife in my school and I'm proud to be a fan of them.

Westlife needs all the support they can get from their fans.

Come on guys! If we want westlife to last longer we need to give all the support we can. I mean, we don't want other bands to take over westlife, do we?. That will be terrible if that happens!

I’m Charaze from the Philippines and I think I’m the Biggest Fan there is here in the Philippines. When I went to an internet café, I received an e-mail about Westlife’s press conference. I called at BMG UK as in in the UK, even if I know my dad will get mad about the phone bill. I called there and I found out that it’s true.

I cried so much and I was so devastated that I called my friend after I called BMG UK and I cried on the phone telling her that I was so hurt because I have supported Westlife by the year Coast to Coast was released. So, it was like 4 years.

I have exerted so much effort on Westlife and I just learned one day that Bry is leaving. And then, I received an e-mail that makes it look that Bry’s reason on leaving Westlife is that he and Kian fought. And then, after I was doing internet, here in our country, there’s this show called MYX and it’s presenting Westlife Live in Hong Kong. After that was the making of Mandy and then the video Mandy. They look so close together and they were so good. I decided, “I just couldn’t leave this band. they’re special. I don’t know why, but I feel that I am destined to be a Westlife fan.”

I just to say that though it is sad for Bryan to have left westlife i dont think i will miss him. I feel its just that it kind of like his wife left atomic kitten and so he's leaving westlife. It doesn't matter whom I like most in Westlife, it doesn't matter who has the best voice, it doesn't matter who's the best looking or who has the most beautiful eyes!
Westlife is made by the five of them, Kian, Nicky, Shane, Mark and Bryan are those who gave life to Westlife! Those fans who accompanied Westlife from the beggining, as I did, know it well! Now Bryan is leaving and we all know it won't be the same without him! There'll be no song as deep as 'Queen of my Heart' without his voice! And I'm sure that Kian, Nicky, Shane and Mark all know that there'll be less laughter in the group without Bry!
Anyway, I stiil admire Bry's decision...he had to choose between Westlife and his family! He chose his family and it was a decision for a lifetime! We'll miss you bry! Take care and be sure to be as happy as you were when in Westlife!!! Maybe even more! Wish you all the best and to the lads too!

I was a big fan of Westlife in Malaysia since 6 years ago. I very sad when heard the news about Bryan want to departure from the Westlife. I really very sad until wanna cry at my bedroom.Until now, I still can't believe it was true. Then i called my best friend(also a big fan of Westlife) and tell the news about Bryan want to leave Westlife,then she also very shock and we could not talk for 5 minutes.She also feel sad and she tought that i just having a joke to her. The westlife's song are very touching and the lyrics are so wonderful. Then the westlife 's voice are so amazing. I still remember that last time i saw Westlife's Asia tour live at Brunei,that concert is so excellent, brilliant and so wonderful. That make me dream come true at that moment.

With Bryan leaving we all know whats going to come from this, there will be him selling his story to every newspaper and magazine. There will be the rest of westlife splitting up in 6 months so what the papers are saying but for once i hope westlife can prove them all wrong and stay together for more than a year and that they don't do a take that on us.

Im so gutted that brian has left westlife, it just wont be the same without him, i mean westlife are great but brian makes westlife!!
Im going to see them in may and I cant wait but without brian it will be a lot different, he was the one who made us laugh the joker of the band!

I love brian but i myself think he has been a bit selfish, what about the fan, us! and what about all those people who are goin to see them in tour who have paid to see westlife, and brian as well!! I was really upset that Bryan went, on tour he's always the guy who makes everybody laugh and his voice and guitar skills are great. I'll miss him on tour this year, as I'm sure everybody, including the rest of the lads, will. Then again, I think he did the right thing and I admire him for standing up in front of everyone and saying he can't give 100% anymore. I hope Kerry, Lilly and Molly realise just how lucky they are, and I wish Bryan all the best in the future, I'll be looking out for him everywhere, and supporting him in whatever he does. When my friend called me and told me the news I just couldn't imagine it possible since to me, Westlife are immortal. Eventually I of course realized it was true although it still does not feel like it has happened. My friend keeps telling me it feels like a dream, which is absolutely true. It feels like a nightmare that I just can't wake up from. I feel extremely worried about the rest of the band members. I know they have said they are going to keep going as a four piece but it still worries me that they are all going to leave us. And I don't want that. Westlife mean so much to me, their songs touch me and make me cry. They are so beautiful. I couldn't live without their music. I've been a Westlife fan ever since they started and it defently won't be the same without Bryan. To hear this 5 boys sing toghther is the best thing I know, cause they do it's with such passion and happiness !

hey everyone,

i just wanted to say that i'm going to miss bryan heaps. i was at school when i found out and i was so devastated that i couldn't talk for full on 15 minutes. i kept thinking that it was all a cruel joke, that there was no way that bryan could leave. everyone was just messing around, you know? but then the reality sunk in, and i was just so devastated. westlife have meant so much to me over the last 5 years, and i know i'm not the only one.

i'm really going to miss bryan. i'm going to miss hearing his voice singing along with the rest of the guys; you could always tell when bryan was singing, he has such an awesome voice. and i'm going to miss his joking around in the dvds and videos, and video clips too. he could always make me laugh no matter how crap i was feeling at the time. (just seeing the guys mucking around...with bryan at the centre of it 99% of the time) i'm going to miss the way he performed on stage, the way he could relate to 10,000 fans all at once, and manage to make them all smile and laugh. i'm also going to miss the way he danced. i know that sounds really REALLY stupid, but it's true. he was such an awesome dancer - so natural you know? and he just seemed to have so much fun while he was doing it. i'll just really miss that for some reason. parts of him will always stay with me, long after he has gone. you know what i mean? like, i'll hear someone say something that'll remind me of bryan, or someone will do something that will remind me of him, and i'll just crack up laughing. i know it will happen, because when someone like bryan touches you, even if you have never met him in your life, you remember them forever.

i'll always remember bryan, and he'll always make me smile. i can't imagine a westlife without him, but i respect his decision - because family does come first. i'll continue to support the guys long after bryan has gone, because although he will leave a gaping hole that can never be filled, they still mean the world to me, and i can't imagine my life without them.

I think its really sad that Bryan has left, but I still love him and I can really understand why he has left.
Even though I wont see him on his birthday now I understand family comes before anything.

When I heard on the radio that bad news a hit took me but I didn't cry because I thought that was a joke, but when I discovered that was the truth...I cryed!!! i cried wen i first found out...was watchin the press conference (forced my mum to record it for me lol cudn't exactly skip skl) and i was worryin throughout the mornin whether u guys were splittin up but it was worse. kian cryin made me cry!! Bryan I have to say I'm really sad ur leaving but if we can't have u then Kerry, Molly and Lily Sue are the three luckiest girls to have u all to themselves. I'm going to miss hearing your great voice on the great songs that u guys make, I listen to ur verses and just remember u performin...and funny backstage footage on the dvd's....the posters and CD sleeves will feel empty without ur cheeky smile (but the otha four lads r gr8!!! don't feel down ;) ) i just want u to no that even tho u won't b in all the posters and CD sleeves and calendars and songs with the other four....we'll always remember the guy hu once sed and i quote: 'god wanted a fruit that no-one cud rap about, u can rhyme with apple and banana but u can't about orange'. that's surprisingly logical!

I have been a Westlife fan even before there were Westlife. I "knew" Shane,Kian and Mark before they became Westlife together with Bryan and Nicky.

Westlife was Westlife with the five of them and with Bryan leaving there by a gap. They were really close friends and everyone how know Westlife knows this. Westlife willn't be the same with out Bryan, but a true fan loves the lads for what they are. We can not give up on them know. Not on Bryan for making the choice that the made and not on the rest of the lad. They will have a hard time coming to prove that the choice they all made is the right on. So please as a true fan i asked you not to give up on them, and to show them that we suport them because we love them!

When I heard Bryan was leaving I thought it was a joke - I was like "Please say this is April Fool's day!"

But it wasn't. I was gutted!

But if he wasn't happy in Westlife then what was the point in him staying? Although it won't be the same without him (especially their tour - I'm going on April 17th in Glasgow and now my favourite won't be there! ) I'm sure the other four guys will do great, and at least they're not slitting up. I've been a fan since the start and still will be with or without Bryan (though preferrably with!) and all the other fans probably think the same. I think Bryan made the right decision. He has a young family and he wants to watch his daughters grow up. I respect his decision completely, I would rather he leave now rather than in a year's time when he is depressed and has come to hate it. Good luck to Bryan, Kerry, Molly and Lilly in their life together.

Its so heart-breaking to lose a Westlife member! they have been my life for 5 years and have helped me through all my bad times. I'm going to miss him but Westlife will keep going! we all just have to ignore the rumors, because that is what will break the unbreakable fans!

although i understand and support Bryan, i just keep hoping maybe he will someday come back. The band wont be the same without him, but we can be glad that they are not taking this to split the band, they will live on and that's what matters!

I was on the verge of tears when I read the papers this morning. Bryan is my favourite and I could not believe the news. I do however see a bit of selfishness in that people had spent a lot of money on the tour tickets and he has quit just before they embark on a world tour. I think it wopuld be very nice if Bryan would go on tour with the guys for one last time, so everyone could say goodbye. So Bry has gone! Fair play to him. Family is more important at the end of the day and although several younger fans will feel disappointed by his departure as an older fan, I admire him for admitting that he can no longer lead the double life he was leading. That must have been a strain and a heartache on him not seeing his young children grow up because he was touring with the boys. The tour will go on and I am certain it will be every bit as entertaining as in previous years.

Shane, Kian, Mark and Nicky have the talent, ability and character to continue because they each play a key role in the band. Nicky and Kian may be able to come out of the background a little more now and may surprise critics out there. Believe me, these two can sing and it will be great to see them have more of an upfront role.

Other bands that have split up in the past always had one stronger character that stood out (Take That had Robbie, Boyzone had Ronan). Shane is the front man and while he is still out there, these guys are going no-where! So good luck to Bry and his new life whatever he decides to do, and good luck to the new Westlife (not that they need it).

At first i didn't really take it in that bryan had left, i mean i knew he left but it didn't sink in. I want to start off by saying that I am a dedicated Westlife fan for over 5 years now…and always will be. I’m a guy in the United States, but I love the guys and their music. A common thread with most groups is that at a certain point they seem to lose the fact how much the fans matter - they make or break you. Westlife has NEVER forgotten about their fans, as Nicky put it “it’s in the hands of all of our fans…We need their support right now.”

My question to the fans is:

WHERE IS THE SUPPORT?

I read the posts, and there is a lot of dedicated support - which Westlife deserves no less than 100% from each fan….BUT others who claim they are fan keep talking about how Westlife will fade away….That is not support - they deserve better!!

Westlife WILL NOT FADE AWAY! There are 4 very talented guys in Westlife, and they need the support of the fans…so stop the talk about them fading away - they won’t…they have done so much, and whenever you think they are down and out - they prove the doubters wrong. A group like Westlife does not fade away! I think it’s time for the fans to step up, stop thinking about the past and the negative!! Show the guys the dedicated - 100% support that they need right now.

I think they are going to be better than ever. They are going to have more dedication (if that is possible, but they will), they are going to have more passion…and the fans will also. To be a fan, you have to take the bad with the good - that’s what it’s about, and right now they need us….

I know we all will miss Bryan very much, but let's just remember why he is doing it. He is doing it for a very good reason. He has two small children and a wife. I don't know how he has survived this long. It must've been a huge strain on him. Those girls need a Dad around all the time, and that's why Bryan has decided to leave. Our favourite Irish five-some is now becoming 4! I can't believe it!

I am sure that everyone is going to miss Bryan and the anitcs which he gets up to!! I'm going to see Westlife in Dublin this year and Birmingham and it just won't be the same without him. As much as I am looking forward to attending the concerts, I'm sure there will be an upsetting feeling deep down!

All we can do now is let Bryan do what he wants to do and hopefully soon, there will be a new arrival in the McFadden family, for Bryan to play football with! (Yes, I'm talking about a Baby Boy!) i've got tickets to go and see their concert this year and it's not going to be the same without Bryan acting daft on the stage making everyone laugh!

although it is really bad news that we are losing one of our most cherished - he is still friends with Shane, Kian, Mark & Nicky now the only ones let in Westlife and he has left for good reasons; to be with his family. and we cant be mad at him for that.
