IT'S a long, long way from Sligo and Dublin, but the success of Westlife
has taken us to Brazil this week.
We thought the fans back home were wild until we arrived here. The
Brazilian girls are just crazy and are following us everywhere we go. We
keep on seeing the same faces at different locations, we don't know
where they get the time or the energy.
But it's fantastic to get a reaction like that.
It has shown us that our music does travel and, as the song goes, if we
can make it here we can make it any-where
Exotic
Although we're working non-stop on promotion, it's such a great buzz for
us to be visiting such an exotic place.
It's fantastic to meet different people and sample their way of life
and not forgetting the food.
The things we're picking up now, we would never have learned at school.
We're sure our families back home will be delighted to hear that!
Despite the fact that we're so far from home, we still keep up with
what's happening back there.
And we're thrilled to learn from the Sunday World that there has been a
fantastic reaction to our new column.
The letters have been flooding in and please keep them coming. It's our
way of keeping in touch with you.
From time to time we'll also be giving away lots of Westlife goodies, so
make sure you read our column every week.
We'll be heading back to Ireland this week for the Childline concert at
The Point next Sunday.
It's shaping up to be one of the biggest pop concerts of the year, also
featuring acts such as B*Witched, Venga-boys, Hepburn, Atomic Kitten,
Al, Dove and Remix.
Concert
And remember, if you can't be there don't worry because it goes out live
on Network 2 at 8pm.
Hi Bryan here,
THE NME rock magazine has given me a sneak pre-view of the new Oasis
album, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, and, to be honest, I'm very
disappointed with it.
It doesn't impress me at all and Liam's voice is wrecked as well.
I was a big Oasis fan. I loved them, but I'm embarrassed by this latest
album.
