Action-packed shoot was like something out of the movies
Hi Kian, Shane, Nicky, Bryan, and Mark here,
WE'VE just shot our new video for the next single, Fool Again, in Mexico
city and it was two of the most exciting days of our lives.
It was an action-packed shoot, just like you see in the movies. We even had
a helicopter filming us from the top of a 22-storey skyscraper. It was just
amazing.
The guy who was shooting us from the helicopter was the same bloke who did
the shots on the Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach. We still find it
unbelievable to be working with these people.
There really is a lot of action in the video. There are convertible Mustangs
and all kinds of things happening. We can't wait to see it when it is
finished and the single, Fool Again, comes out in the first week of April.
Fantastic
Our excitement over the video took a dive when we got back to the hotel and
discovered that our hotel rooms had been burgled. Shane's Gucci watch and
his bracelet was robbed and the camera man had £10,000 worth of equipment
stolen as well.
But Mexico was fantastic and we really enjoyed our time there. We went
jet-ski-ing in Acapulco for a day and that was a real buzz. Nicky was a bit
afraid at first because he's not a good swimmer, but after awhile he was
flying and jumping off waves.
We were all messing about and splashing each other with jet-skis and then
things got a little out of hand with our tour manager Anto and Nicky banged
straight into each other on the jet-skis.
Luckily, neither of them was hurt, but they both went straight into the
water. We've had a great time on our tour around South America, but it was
really an eye-opening experience for us. The girls in that part of the world
are just crazy.
Argentina was totally nuts. There were over 200 girls waiting for us at the
airport when we arrived and we didn't expect that because we thought nobody
would know us there.
The girls go absolutely bananas there. Bryan came out of the hotel one day
with his bag on his back and he was mobbed by a crowd of women who nicked
his runners and his CD player.
Weird
He was astonished a week later at a signing session when girls produced a
shoe box with his runners in it.. minus the in-soles and laces! That was a
bit weird. They also gave him back his CD player. Wacky or what!
Brazil was amazing too. The weather was gorgeous and we had some time off to
spend on the beach and work on our tans.
Priority
We've also shot a new video in America for Swear It Again, which will be our
first single to go on release there.
The guy who did it has worked on Britney Spears' videos. Hopefully, we'll
follow her success in the States and that would really be the icing on the
cake for us.
The States is a huge priority for us this year and the predictions are good.
We will be spending a lot of time crossing the Atlantic this year, but it
will be all worth-while if it works out for us.
MY dream is to see Westlife in concert one day and I hope it comes true.
To me, you are the best band in the world. I love you all.
