TODAY is shaping up to be one to remember as we return home for the big
pop extravaganza at The Point tonight.
We've been looking forward to Childline for weeks and weeks while we've
been tour-ing the US and South America. It's hard to believe the big
night has finally arrived.
We'll be teaming up with Samantha Mumba, B*Witched, Vengaboys, Hepburn,
Atomic Kitten, Al, Dove and Remix to give you a show full of thrills and
spills. If you're coming along, see you there.
Don't worry if you haven't been able to get your hands on tickets -the
show goes out live on Network 2 and is presented by our mate Keith Duffy
and Denise Van Outen, with MTV's Emma Ledden and Dustin doing interviews
behind the scenes. Book your place in front of the telly now.
Reaction
We're delighted that there has been such a fan-tastic reaction to the
new Westlife column here in the Sunday World. Ireland's number one
newspaper has been flooded with our fan mail. Keep the letters com-ing,
'cos we'll be checking them Out.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to reply personally to your letters
and requests, but we will answer your queries here in the Sunday World
every week. We're keeping it short this week as, today, we're handing
over the column to you. Check out here what you've been writing to the
Westlife Postbox at the Sunday World.
DEAR lovely, cute WestLife lads. The best thing that happened to the
Sunday World was you guys. God, I can't believe you guys are read-ing
this right now. I love you and hope you come to Kerry sometime. Your
lov-ing fan.
Margaret Lyne, Killarney, Co Kerry.
ME and my friend Leon are head over heels in love with Westlife. I think
Bryan is the sexiest man on earth and Leon feels the same way about
Kian. I met Westlife once at my school and I'd love to meet you again.
Leann Kelly, Glasthule, Co Dublin.
YOU are the best boy band ever. I'm so glad you have a column in the
Sunday World because my Dad gets the paper every Sunday and now I can
find out all the latest gossip about you.
Celeste Jones (12) , Balbriggan, Co Dublin.
IF I met you it would be my dream come true. Good luck with your new
songs and I can't wait to see you in concert.
Sarah Leahy, Kilmeaden, Co Waterford.
I LOVE all your songs, especially Moments and On The Wings Of Love. I
have entered well over 15 competitions to meet you and to see you in
concert, but so far no luck. Maybe someday.
Love from Sarah Flynn, Kilkenny.
YOU are the best band in the world and I'm really looking forward to
seeing you at the Childline concert. I love your new single. Fool Again.
Love from your No l fan.
Tracy Corcoran, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
MY room has posters of Westlife all over the walls. They are completely
plastered with them - I don't need wallpaper. I am so in love with the
songs you sing, espe-cially I Have A Dream.
Roisin Curtin, Kilshanny, Co Clam.
MY best friend likes Klan and I love Mark. Westlife is my favourite boy
band and I wish I could see you one day.
Erica Brady (12), Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
I WISH I could meet Westlife one day...it would be my dream come true.
You have brought so much happiness into my life. I am almost 12, but
wishing I was your age.
Niamh Buckley, Glenville, Co Cork.
MY older brother Roy has a girlfriend who says she went to school with
Shane and he was very shy, but very nice. When I saw that you had a
column in the Sunday World I was overjoyed because you are my number
one band.
Ciara Butler, Naas, Co Ku-dare.
I WOULD like to know if Westlife have a fan club. If so can you tell me
the address. I think Shane is the hottest man/boy in the world and
beyond.
Natasha Shaw, Donaghmede, Dublin 13.
MY favourite member of Westlife is Kian because I think he's gorgeous.
I think the maddest one in the group is Bryan, he's just totally nuts.
My mates met Bryan over Christmas and they said he was very nice.
Siobhan McCarthy, North Great Charles Street, Dublin 1.
