You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet!

You'll hardly recognise us in our new extravaganza

Hi Shane here,

WITH the final countdown to 2001 tonight, our thoughts turn to the year ahead.

The highlight is definitely going to be our record ELEVEN shows at The Point in March. And we are going to give you a show to remember.

Just when you think you know Westlife, I can tell you that you ain't seen nothin' yet!

I don't want to give too much away and spoil the surprise, but I warn you that you'll hardly recognise us.

If you think that it's going to be a low-key performance packed with ballads, then you're definitely going to be left wide-eyed.

Of course there'll be the ballads and all the hits, but there's more, much more going on in this show.

I am just so excited about showing the fans in Ireland what we're really capable of.

While we have been busy working on our Coast To Coast album and hopping all around the world in recent months, we've also found the time to create our new live extravaganza.

It's been a lot of fun putting it together and it's almost complete. There are only a few pieces in the jigsaw that have yet to go into place.

So far, we've got our backing band lined up. We have chosen a producer to oversee the big production and a whole team of people have been selected to make sure that everything is right on the night...every night.

The only aspect of the show that has yet to be designed and manufactured is the stage clothes. We plan to have lots of costume changes in the fast moving show to keep on changing the atmosphere and building the excitement levels.

This will be a sound and light spectacular packed with colour and special effects. I am totally honest when I tell you that no expense is going to be spared to ensure that our fans have a fantastic expenence.

The show will be performed amidst an amazing set. When your see the stage set up you are going to be really excited and impressed. Whenever I think about it I get excited- it really is amazing, trust me.

So forget about the stools and the slow dance movements - we are going to be really rocking it up on stage and there'll be plenty of up-tempo numbers to send the temperature soaring.

The countdown begins right now to March at the Point - all the lads in Westlife just can't wait and we know you're looking forward to it too.

SO what else is lined up for Westlife in the New Year?

Well, we'll be touring all over the world, including Asia, South America and South Africa. We'll be spending a fair bit of time in America as well to build on our success there.

I guess I'd better enjoy my time off right now because there'll be no rest once we get going in 2001. But who's complaining.

On behalf of all the lads in Westlife, I wish you a very happy New Year - and maybe we'll meet along the way.

Another fab night

BEFORE the March concerts we'll get the chance to perform in Ireland at the Childllne concert in the Point on January 26.

That's going to be a fantastic night as lots and lots of acts are flying in to take part It'll be a bit like the Smash Hits all over again.

The bill also includes our pal Samantha Mumba, Mel C, Steve Gately, Keith and Shane, Atomic Kitten, Billie Piper, Al, Girl Thing, Louise and Reel.
