What famous bad boy would you personally compare yourself with?
It has to be Bob the Builder. He's a bad man for robbing us of the Christmas
No 1! Nah, I'm, only joking. He put in a lot of overtime on that single so I
guess he deserved it. There are no hard feelings really.
Who's your favourite rock chick?
I suppose it has to be Madonna cos she's so on it. She's always reinventing
herself, just like U2, and so she manages to stay one step ahead of the
competition.
Have you ever had to tell one of the other lads to calm down?
On the whole we're very well behaved. We are, honestly! So I'll have to say
only myself - and that's when I see our touring schedule!
Which one of Westlife is most likely to go off the rails?
I think we all have our mad moments, like. And if we didn't have all five of
us, if we weren't together, helping each other through the hard times, then
I'm sure we would go off the rails. Thankfully we are all together to keep
each other on the straight and narrow.
Who would you say was the wildest member of Westlife?
I'd like to say me, but somehow I don't think that's true! I think Nicky is.
You can see it in his eyes. He's very competitive, too. Like when we have to
get to the studio he's always there first, usually having a game of football
or something.
What has been the wildest time of your life?
At the very start of Westlife, or Westside as we were known then. I remember
being in the van with Anto our tour manager and our driver, Johnny, who was
up front. And there was up mad things in the back getting up to all sorts as
we were doing 70mph along the M4. Take my word for it, it was mad - but
that's about all I can tell you!
When was the last time you really overdid it on a night out?
We haven't had a mad night out in a while - not since Christmas time in
Sligo. Mind you, you don't get much crazier than that! I headed out at about
3.30 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve and rolled home at 3.30 in the
morning and nearly caught out Santa!
Where would you take TOTP for a wild night out?
Where in the world but Sligo! It's the party capital, definitely.
