Are you a lover or a fighter?
I'm a lover, of course. I'm just a gentle giant, can't you tell?!
What famous bad boy would you personally compare yourself with?
Finn McCool. He's an Irish, Celtic legend. He was this amazing warrior from
Irish folklore. He wasn't so much of a bad boy, just this fantastically cool
bloke.
What song makes you go wild on the dance floor?
Who Let The Dogs Out? by the Baha Men never fails. When it comes on I go
absolutely barking mad, of course.
What has been the wildest time of your life?
I'd say around the start of Westside/Westlife. Travelling up and down the
motorways of England with pillows and duvets in the back of our bus was all
quite mad and weird. We were also playing all these under-18s shows and
gigs, which were fantastic but a little bit mental all the same.
Have you mellowed a little since you've been famous?
A little bit - these days I get home at 5.30am instead of 7am! Seriously,
though, meeting Kerry has helped me to calm down a bit.
Have you ever had to tell one of the other Westlife lads to calm down?
We all get a little over-excited at some point but especially Shane. He gets
very excited, particularly before going on stage. He sort of psyches himself
up and at the same time he's trying to get the rest of us all vibed up, but
occasionally he gets a little too hyper and we all have to calm him down -
but it's nothing major.
Which Westlifer is most likely to go off the rails?
We've all got pretty sensible heads on our shoulders so I don't think any of
us would go properly off the rails. We all keep each other's feet firmly on
the ground. If one person gets out of line, we all jump on him.
Have Westlife ever come to blows?
We don't ever come to blows, but we do argue. After all this time we're
almost like brothers so we argue like all brothers do, but we forget all
about it in, like, an hour. We usually argue about who gets the front seat
of the bus or car or whatever we're travelling in! But nothing more serious
than that.
When was the last time you had a really large night out?
Probably the night out I had with all the guys just before Christmas to
celebrate Bob the Builder's success with his No1. There were no hard
feelings, honestly. Bob actually turned up and bought us all a drink!
So where would you take TOTP for a wild night out?
We would start at one of my favourite restaurants, a Japanese restaurant
called Benehana. And then we would head for a good knees-up at an Irish club
- Riverdance-style, of course!
