Hours before the concert, the group held a press conference at The
Westin Philippine Plaza. Even after their endless travelling
the guys managed to convey all the Irish warmth, humour, and charm.
WHAT WERE YOU LIKE IN SCHOOL? WERE YOU THE FUNNY ONE, THE ATHLETIC
ONE, OR THE QUIET ONE?
NICKY: I suppose I was the athletic one, being in football.
MARK:I used to be very shy. All of sudden I started talking everyday,
all the time.
BRYAN:I was always the quiet one in school.
WHO STYLES YOU? DO YOU LIKE WHAT YOU GET TO WEAR?
KIAN: He (their stylist) doesn't style us, kinda advises us on what
kind of style to go for. We get to wear our own clothes that we just
put together.
WITH ALL THE PRESSURES, HOW DO YOU COPE?
BRYAN: I think we just stick together. we're like brothers. I think
our success is an experience and we just want more and more success .
We look out for each other.
HOW DOES YOUR SUCCESS FEEL?
KIAN: Amazing. We've released five singles already now. It's more than
we ever dreamed of.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
BRYAN: I think we go home. I'd just like to stay home. It's just so
good to be in your homeland. Still, when I go home to a hotel every
night I listen to music, watch tv.
MARK: We go home and visit our families. otherwise we just try to go
to movies or have a few drinks.
SHANE: I go horse-riding.
THERE ARE A LOT OF BOYBANDS OUT THERE LIKE THE BSB, *N'SYNC AND NOW
YOU GUYS. AND THERE ARE A LOT OF CRITICS WHO BASH BOYBANDS. WHAT DO
YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT?
NICKY: We make music, we put songs together in an album and all. we
just do what we do-enjoy what we do. there is always gonna be
somebody new. But that's who we are.
KIAN: it's all about the songs. if we have a hit, we try to
concentrate on our vocals.
DO YOU HAVE CONCEPTS FOR A NEW VIDEO?
BRYAN: No, we haven't. But I wanna do a video in the Philippines.
HOW'S RONAN AS A BOSS?
BRYAN: Ronan's very, very modest. he treats you the way you want to be
treated. coz he's been around for five or six years.
IF YOU WEREN'T IN WESTLIFE WHAT WOULD YOU PROBABLY DOING RIGHT NOW?
BRYAN: I'd be in Boyzone, I'd be the sixth member.
IF YOU WERE A CARTOON CHARACTER, WHO WOULD YOU BE?
NICKY: I'd be Mickey Mouse, oh no, I'll be Mighty Mouse. coz i'll fly
without wings.
BETWEEN BRITNEY AND CHRISTINA WHO DO YOU GUYS LIKE?
EVERYONE: Oh!Britney...Britney...
(moans with Kian and Nicky covering their faces with their hands.)
