Westlife Uncovered

WESTLIFE are heading for a sensational SEVENTH No1 in a row on Sunday with their new single My Love.

Now the five Irish lads – Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Bryan McFadden and Nicky Byrne – have dropped their guard - and their trousers - to reveal their thoughts on fame, money, love and being in the mega band.

Mark in shock at topless fans

ALMOST any red-blooded guy would be delighted if two sexy girls offered to strip for him – but not Mark Feehily.

Mark, 19, knew the gorgeous girls who sidled up to him in an American town were only interested in his star status – and he was shocked that they could be so shameless.

So instead of taking advantage of his fame, he walked away.

Mark says: “Two girls in the Mid West were waiting outside our hotel and they came up to us and offered to flash their t**s at us if we got them tickets for an after-show party.

“They were very pretty and looked very respectable but I just lost respect for them.

“I cannot understand why anyone would do that. I find it quite tragic and maybe other bands would take advantage but I never would.

“If they are prepared to do that for an after-show ticket, then what would they do for something bigger?

“It’s blatantly obvious they only wanted us because of who we are and that turns me off. I wouldn’t want to take advantage of people who are making our dreams come true.

“We are just normal people but there seems to be some kind of illusion created as far as the fans are concerned.

"It’s particularly bad in the Far East. They look at you like you’re from a different planet.

“That is one of the things I have found most shocking.”

Bachelor Mark, from Sligo, in the west of Ireland, is stunned the band’s new album is up against the Spice Girls.

He still remembers working in a photo shop and sneaking a look at pictures of Posh Spice. He says: “It’s David and Goliath. I’m chuffed to be mentioned in the same breath.

“I’m a down-to-earth lad – I don’t go round in flashy cars and show off when I go back to Sligo.”
