BBC_Host says: The boys are ready to answer your questions. Sorry for the delay !!!!!
Rounding up 5 Westlifers is no easy feat !!!
BBC_Host says: first up is Mark. Here's the first question.
Lucy Westwood: What can we expect in the 2001 tour ?
Mark: We're in the stages of coming up with ideas, and it's all coming together nicely with set design, the band, the lights and costumes etc.
We want everyone to go home thinking it was a great show
A lot of people are expecting our ballads, but it's not going to be boring where we just sing ballads. There will be uptempo songs too - very uptempo!
We're even going to speed up some of the songs that we normally do as ballads.
Melissa Tan: Who within the group, would you most like to be for a day and why?
Mark: It depends. We spend so much time with each other, I don't think anyone could expect us to get along all the time.
Sometimes I feel I hate them, and sometimes they feeel they hate me, but we do get on very very well! There's no-one I get on with better than anyone else. Different days, you're in the mood for different people.
Some days, for example, you'd want to be with Bryan because he's lively, but if you're more chilled out, you may not want to hear him joking all the time! It just depends on your mood!
Laura: If you could take anyone anywhere for Christmas, who would it be and where would you take them?
Mark: I would take my entire family - cousins, aunties, uncles, grannies, to Orlando, maybe. All the kids could have a great time in Disneyland, and the adults could spend time in the sun.
Bambi: If you could record any song what would it be and why?
Mark: Personally, I'd record one of my own songs that I wrote myself, but a cover version... maybe Killing me Softly by the Fugees, or Lauryn Hill, Do Wop (That Thing)
BBC_Host says: We are now talking to Nicky.
Jessica Ibbestson: I know that you guys are doing a big UK tour next year. Are you going to take that tour to other parts of the world... like Australia?
Nicky: Yes. We're starting in the UK, then Ireland, across Europe, then south-east Aisa, Australia, New Zeaand, and then to South America.
Stephanie Baxter:If there was one thing or person you would like to find in your Christmas stocking who or what would it be?
Nicky: A big Ferrari! Or Liz Hurley, if my girlfriend didn't mind....
Therese Nilsson: What makes you cry?
Nicky: We do a lot of stuff where we meet yong kids who are terminally ill. Recently we were in Live and Kicking, and there was a girl there with leukemia. It's just sad that it should happen to someone that age.
Nic Atkinson: I'm going to one of your concerts next year. How can I get your attention?
Nicky: I don't know really. Have a big sign with something funny on it!
Sometimes fans have rude things on their signs which make us laugh, but I'm not tellig you to do that - make up your own thing!
Zeera: Why isn't Ronan Keating your manager anymore?
Nicky: We've distanced ourselves from each other. He's busy with his career, and we're finding our feet. But we're going to remain friends, and everything's cool.
Wendy: What do you think about George Michael's comments that the record industry pays more attention to people who look good rather than those who are actually talented?
Nicky: In a way I agree. There are lots of talented people who aren't as successful as people who are good looking.
Sometimes there are bands playing in pubs in Ireland who aren't signed but are absolutely fantastic. Record companies need to look hard for talent.
BBC_Host says: Next up is Bryan.
Chloe: Have you ever had any really embarassing moments while performing in front of htousands of fans?
Bryan: There was one time in Cyprus whn my trousers fell down on a live TV show. That was pretty embarrassing!
I just had really baggy trousers on. Iwas dancing, and they just fell down when I tried to fix my microphone! But I was wearing underwear...
Louise: Are you planning on making you own film like the Spice Girls?
Bryan: No. That was a rubbish film, and I don't think we'd want to do anything like that!
We'd like to act, though...
Emma: Do you think you'll get Christmas number one again this year, and if so who will be your strongest competition?
Bryan: No. Bob the Builder will!
Vicky: What were your first impressions of each other when you first met?
Bryan: Nicky looked like a funeral director in his suit, and they were all country boys!
Sara Ireland - Is there any truth in the fights between you and Five?
Bryan: No, absolutely not!
We're good mates.
Lyndsey Smith: What would you call your first child?
Bryan: I've already decided that but I'm not going to tell you!
Oh okay. If it's a boy, it's going to be Ronan.
And if it's a girl, pisspotte - it's a French word!
BBC_Host says: Next up is Kian.
Reena Bhatt: hi guys. What is your favourite song on Coast To Coast?
Kian: It's When You're Looking Like That.
Anna_Nilzon: What was Bryan saying to Shane in the "My Love" video when they are walking along the beach?
Kian: Bryan said: I hope it doesn't start to rain again, because it was raining a lot before the video!
Roni: What has surprised you most about being famous?
Kian: Being noticed as I walk down the street, or in an airport, especially if we're all together. But it's not so bad individually.
Jodie: If you had a chance who would you go out with anyone in the pop world?
Kian: I might ask Cat Deeley out. Or Martin McCutcheon - she's Gorgeous!
Rozlynn: How has your life changed since you joined Westlife?
Kian: Dramatically...
We get to travel a lot more. We see a lot more places around the world.
And we get to meet a lot of beautiful people.
Stacey_Mead: Hello what would be your fav single to do a cover of????
Kian: Probably a classic Van Morrison song, such as Moondance.
BBC_Host says: Next up is Shane.
Shane: Don't forget the single is out - What Makes a Man/My Girl - and it's out on Monday. So please go out and buy it!
Karen O: What is the most frightening thing that has ever happened to you?
Shane: We were on a plane to Australia, and the plane got struck by lightning. The lights went down for a split second. We were struck four times in a row, and there was a lot of turbulence. It was scary!
Nosheen Khan: From all the videos that you have shot, which one is your favourite?
Shane: Mine is My Love. I think it's a great video, and we shot it in Ireland, so it's very special to us.
Kayle Are all the songs you sing to anyone in particular?
Shane: They're just aimed at everyone who wants to listen to them - we haven't written any of our singles yet. They can mean a lot of things at once.
Ash Dewb: Who inspired you the most?
Shane: When I was younger it was Michael Jackson. I always wanted to be in a band, or on stage, or famous.
Darren Standham: who has the worst habits in the group?
Shane: We all have really bad habits - and I can't tell yuou waht they are. Sorry!
lotty clark: Hello! Do you ever get lonely on tour?
Shane: Yes, we do a lot. But we can ring our family, so it's not the worst thing in the world. It's a dream job, but everyone gets lonely sometimes.
kat: If the 5 of u were in the big brother house, who would win and who would be voted out first?
Shane: I would win because I'm speaking now so I can say that! I think Bryan would be out first - he wouldn't be able to stick it!
lindsey_williams: How long do you think you'll be together go?
Shane: I hope we'll do about five studio albums together, and some greatest hits. Perhaps seven or so years. It depends on the fans!
Catherine: Shane what is your favourite colour?
Shane: It's silver.
I love silver cars! It looks cool. For clothes, I like black, blue or navy.
Hannah Thornley: How does it feel to be one of the most famous boybands in the world?
Shane: It's very cool. We're very proud to be known well. We just try and work as hard as we can, and become as big as we can. It's great to know that fans around the world love us.
Stephanie George: Who do u admire most?
Shane: My favourite woman is Faith Hill, an American country singer. And I like Kylie Minogue too.
And I also admire my father and mother. They've been very supportive, and I'm just very proud of them.
Kate: What do you think 'makes a man'?
Shane: I haven't got a clue! You tell me! (He says to the BBC interviewer...)
Charm, humour, Irish eyes! If you have those, you're sorted!
BBC_Host says: Here is Westlife with a final word.
Shane: Thank you to all our fans form all of us. We hope you like the new single - hopefully we can get to number one!
Thanks for logging on, and see you soon, and have a happy Christmas and happy New Year!
