by Lindsay

In 10 years time, when Westlife has been releasing singles for over 13 years, the Guinness "Black stuff" book of records will announce them as the greatest band in history, after capturing the hearts of every generation and being worth at least 1000 million euros each. Nicky will announce the birth of his third child- James, to add to the twins Liam and Erin who were all born after he split up with Georgina and met the love of his life, Lindsay, in Dublin. Nicky, Lindsay and their 3 kids live on the outskirts of Baldoyle in a big house which Nicky had built in celebration of the "Beginning of our loife" album topping the charts in every country of the world just weeks after each other, and it has a football pitch at the back where Nicky's little bro Adam practises. Adam captains Ireland and has already broken all Irish records of goal scoring for his team, who bought him from an amateur football club for 40 million euros.
Bryan has 4 kids- Molly-now 11, Dylan-James-he's nearly 10, Kerry- who's 8 and little Patrick who's 3. They live in the same house he and Kerry bought back in 2001 in Wicklow. His sister Susan followed in his footsteps by joining Atomic Kitten after Jenny left in 2003, and the band rose to success in 2 weeks, when their new song, a cover of Shakespeare's Sister's 'Stay' topped the charts for 3 months before being replaced by their second successive number 1 whilst Susan was in the band- a uptempo song called "How does it feel". Bryan also owns a bar named (very original) McFadden's and manages a rock band- but nobody knows which one. He is the most successful member in terms of money (not that it matters- they're all multi-millionaires) and he regularly donates a million euros to charity.
Shane married Gillian in 2004 and so far they have 3 children- Stephen (6), Jonathan (5) and Jack (3) but Gillian is now 6 months pregnant with triplets (3 girls). Shane says that his family will only be complete when he has 7 children, as he believes 7 is his lucky number, but Gillian says that after the triplets, she ain't havin' any more. They live in the middle of nowhere near Sligo town (?how that works I don't know?) and Shane likes to spend his money on big expensive cars, like the 35 he keeps in his front driveway. Shane bought back the Carlton Cafe from his sister in 2006 and has transformed it into a McDonalds-like chain which runs in Ireland, the UK, and across the continent. It is a very successful chain but Shane blows the money he gets from it on the cars. However Shane, Gillian and the kids are very happy and they still have the millions from Westlife to spend on other things.
Mark found himself a girl called Nicci and they married in 2004. They have one son- Dan and two daughters- Holly (Mark wanted to call her Molly, but Bryan put his foot down and said 'No way') and Nicole (Mark wanted to call her Nicci, after her mam, but Nicci put her foot down and said 'No way'). Mark and Nicci live in a practically deserted part of Ireland that no-one can ever find, but most of the time when Mark's not working they live on their very own island off the coast of Italy with the kids (Holly's the oldest- she's 8, and Danny and Nicole are very close in age- Danny's just turned 6 and Nicole's 6 in 6 months.) Mark and Nicci wind down by using the kart track on their island (called manic island- very appropriate if you ask me!) They run a tourism business for pro-karters who want to use the manic island track (one of the best in the world) and own a cruise ship which takes people from Italy to the island (which you can't stay on- you can only have day passes) when the family aren't cruising around the world in their free time.
And Kian has Jess. Jess and their baby- Alex, who's 1. Kian, Jess and Alex live the high life in Leitrim. Although Kian owns a hugely popular music arena with a huge music shop attached and is part of the most successful band of all time, the family is just about average. Kian likes to keep his feet on the ground and Jess still gets embarrassed when she gets photographed for the papers. Kian and Jess both want Alex to live a normal life so, outside of Westlife, they try to keep a low profile. Kian's brother Colm is big in America, as he fronts the biggest Irish rock band (apart from U2) ever. Kian and Colm regularly visit each other, although no American knows why, as they can't understand how a rebel and a sweet boy can be brothers.
And as for westlife as a whole? They're still going, and their following is better than ever. All their songs now reach number one frequently, and their albums constantly break selling records. They have a recording studio devoted entirely to them which has all their platinum discs filling the walls and the ceilings (it's a very large place!) and this place opens up to the public in August every year, when Westlife take their month off. It attracts millions of euros which is then given to hospitals all over Ireland (aahh!). Louis Walsh still manages the guys, although he more or less lets them get on with it nowadays. But the sad thing is that in one year from now, in 2013, Westlife will agree to split as they can't continue to get better anymore (there's nothing they haven't already done) and to spend all their time with their growing families (Shane eventually gets his seventh child- a boy called Joey). However, the lads and all the people they've ever worked with will stay in very close contact and, although I can't predict too far ahead, maybe one day, I see a reunion in which the 5 plan a last concert for their ever- faithful fans.
