It was the night of the ‘big’ concert, every Westlife fan would be there .... a night to remember, well should i say a life to remember!
It was cold outside, and fans were screaming loud for hours... that’s when it all started. There they were, all of them getting out of their long white limousine. Nicky, Kian and Shane came my way, while Bryan and Mark signed some autographs. Nicky looked right at me, then came over and gave me his coat, and took my hand. He said "here take this. What’s your name?" I said nervously "it’s ! So how are you tonight?"
"I’m fine, just a little nervous, i’m on in an hour! Why don’t you come backstage with us, and we can get to know each other!"
"Yeh sure, that will be great!" All the fans faces just dropped, and their jealousy was so bad that they were out of control! Grabbing Kian & Shane, trying to rip their clothes off, and the jewellery they were wearing... well except from Nicky, because he grabbed my hand and walked me over to the entrance of the arena, and kissed me on the cheek. He whispered in my ear "wait in here, and I’ll collect the rest of my stuff. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you..." How couldn't’t i resist that gorgeous voice of his? It was as if we’ve been reunited together! How lucky was I?
He hurried back, after signing a couple of autographs, then whistled over to the other guys. We all said hi, and had a drink inside and got to know each other. It was so amazing, i couldn’t believe my luck! I mean just seeing Westlife in concert is my perfect dream come true, but actually meeting them was so amazing, and Nicky was such a gentleman!
It was sadly time for the boyz to go on stage, which meant one thing... it was time to go. Kian came over and gave me a backstage ticket for after, and told me to sit front row centre because i was their guest! I wished them luck and hugged them all individually, then went to find a ‘front row’ seat.
During the beginning of one of there songs: What I Want Is What I’ve Got, Nicky spoke and told me to come up on stage with them and sing it with them! The words to this song just all came together...
......."now I’ve found out what I’ve been dreaming of, its the feeling of peace deep within me.. oh life is too short to hold back, I’ve made up my mind, coz i found out what i dreamt of, and i looked it up..at this very moment, what i want is what I’ve got.. found out what was missing and i looked it up, and at this very moment, what i want is what I’ve got."
You see, every word of that song was coming true between me and Nicky!
I stayed up on stage for the next song : Flying Without Wings, then waited by the doors to the backstage...
That was it, there’s no holding back, my life is going to be better now that Nicky is in my life, and hopefully the rest of the Westlifers will be too.
It was the end of the concert, and it was time to see them again. I totally forgot the rest of my friends, and just grabbed my best mate , and wandered over to the backstage doors. Nicky came over and let us both in. I introduced to the gang, and especially , who’s her fave!
Kian came up with a suggestion to go out for the night, and have a laugh, as we are all friends!
We stepped outside infront of all the screaming fans, hand in hand, was me & Nicky, & ! We all bundled in this long white stretch limo, and cruised off to P.A.R.T.Y!
We got to the club and got our groove on, and had such a fab time! Bryan got so drunk that he was singing he loves Mark! Mark was so flat out that he could hardly stand up! didn’t have much to drink, and took off to another club, while me and Nicky took the others home, and went back to his place...for the night...We talked then hugged, and wow, his touch of his hands were so warm, and affectionate.
It was the morning and I woke up to find Nicky’s arms around me! It wasn’t a dream! I actually was with him, in his bed, in his private house where no-one would hassle us! I couldn’t believe it! Where were & ? "Oh well they must be at his place! I’ll give her a call later, when i’m not so busy with my dream man!" Nicky woke up and said, "Hey babe, guess what... it’s valentines day!" He pulled out from below his pillow, a small cube box... " I got this last night, when you & Kian were chatting at the bar. I nipped out for an hour without you noticing! You see i found this gorgeous ring a few days ago, and really wanted to buy it for someone really special to me. So i would like you to have it.."
I opened the box to see a gold and diamond heart shaped ring glistening in the light! "Wow thankyou so much! This must of cost you a lot, oh thankyou, i love you so much!" ", this is to say that i really, really love you, and want to spend the rest of my life with you... you are very special to me already, and i know you're the one. So will you take this as a boyfriend to girlfriend gift to say i love you?"
"Of course i love you too, lots and lots! So i guess this is a pre-engagement!" "Yeh, so make sure you wear it when i’m away on tour, and you will always have a part of me there with you!" He slipped the ring on my engagement finger. It wasn’t a proper engagement ring, just sort of an eternity ring to say we are gonna be together forever! Anyway, I am only , and he is 21 years old!
phoned just then, and said he’s bringing over, because they all have to get ready for their 3 week tour that night. They got ready and were nearly ready to go by 3pm after a goodbye lunch with the gang in a swanky restaurant.
It was time for them to go... we all swapped addresses & telephone numbers. I pulled out of my pocket a white gold neck chain for Nicky to wear to think of me & for luck. He put it on and we promised not to ever take off our gifts from each other. We all walked out to the limo with all their stuff ready... I cried a tear from my eye, and saw a tear from Nicky’s fall down his cheek. That was it, would i see him again? "Of course you will, i won’t be gone forever.. remember the ring, and i promise i won’t lose you, and i will give you a call every night to tell you i love you...!
"Oh Nicky, i love you too!" I cried and cried and hugged him but couldn’t let go, our lips touched, a farewell kiss... the warm tingly touch sent shivers down my spine. Kian came over and gave me a peck on the cheek, then Bryan, Mark and Shane came over to say bye. who was holding saying: "You are very special, and i must go now, don’t ever forget this moment!" He came over and gave me a soft hug, and whispered in my ear, "take care of , and don’t worry we will all come back in 3 weeks and do this again!"
We waved goodbye at the exit of the restaurant in front of everyone who had tears in there eyes... "Bye Nicky, i love you...! As they drove off, Nicky dropped out the window a locket, and shouted out the window, " I’ll never let go...!" I picked up the pendant. It was a heart and inside was a piccie of him with the words ‘What I Want Is What I’ve Got’(...you!)
