I Cry

Shane cheats on his girlfriend, Ashley but when they have a huge fight Shane can't get on with his life. He knows they'll never get back together..or will they...

Authors Note: Ok,So I know this story is crap but I was listening to 'I Cry' and this story just kinda popped into my head so I hope you enjoy it. Oh and ,just so there's no confusion, it's Shane's point of veiw throughout the story. Ok? Good ! Thanks for even reading this far !! Enjoy!!!

I jumped out of the way as the telephone was ripped out of the wall and thrown across the room. She had found out about the stupid mistake with Gillian and now I was certainly paying for it.
'How could you?' she yelled, throwing a plate that skimmed me by only a few centimetres before smashing against the wall. She began to cry.
'I'm so sorry...I...it..I didn't..' I stammered, knowing that nothing I said or did could change what was happening.
'Yeah' she cried 'Sorry you got caught'
She put her head in her hands and stood crying. I went closer to where she stood and tried to put my arms around her.
'Ashley...' I whispered
She flung my arms of her .
'DON'T TOUCH ME' She screamed, disgusted that I even thought about going near her. She jumped back from me, pulled the silver chain with a cross attatched-the one I'd given her for christmas and told me that as long as she loved me she'd never take it off..she swore that she'd NEVER take it off- and threw it to the floor where it landed at my feet.
She spun around and headed to the door.Suddenly ,she stopped.There,sitting on the mantle piece was a picture of the two of us in a silver frame, hugging and smiling,looking so happy and in love, she grabbed it from the mantle piece ,looked at it then dropped it to the floor and dug the heel of her boot into it,smashing it to a million pieces and stormed out of the flat slamming the door behind her. I ran after her ,but it was no use, I'd lost her. I felt so empty.
I slowly closed the door behind me, trudged through to the living room and slumped down on the couch and closed my eyes. It was quiet, too quiet so I put on my CD player 'I Cry' played and it really hit home, I hit the repeat button,lay back and had flashbacks of everything Ashley and I ever did together. I just wanted her here beside me, the way she used to rest her head on my chest and play with my shirt whilst I twisted her hair around my finger .
'You said 'Goodbye' I fell apart
I fell from what we had
To I never knew I needed you so bad'
These lines just seemed to stick inside my head, they wouldn't leave making me feel one hundred time worse.I want her back.. It had been three days since we fought and I hadn't moved from the couch-except for food and visits to the the loo- the flat and myself were a mess. I hadn't washed or shaved let alone tidied up so I thought I should at least get my act together. Then my heart shattered. Ashley's purse lay in the middle of the floor surrounded by broken glass and pieces of china. I bent over,picked it up and looked through it. There was a picture of the two of us in the front pocket and written on the back was 'Love you always ,Shay. Ash' ,then I couldn't hold the tears back any longer and I just broke down,clutching the picture at my heart. I didn't stop crying until the door went. I couldn't be bothered answering it ,however I hoped it might be Ashley.
'Who is it?' I asked through the door.
'It's us ,open up' Bryan answered
My heart sank.
'Go Away' I snapped
'Come on Shane' Kian pleeded 'We're worried about you'
'Yeah Shay' Mark added 'We wanna help'
'And some of us REALLY have to pee!' Nicky called.
I reluctantly opened the door ,only to be smaked in the knee by Nicky forcing it open and rushing to the bathroom.
'Sorry Mate!' He said ,rather sheepishly 'Wow ,you look rough'
'Yeah, whatever' I said allowing the others to come in then went into the living room and lay on the couch again still holding the picture.
'We ...erm we heard about.. em ..you know ' Bryan stuttered
'About me and Ashley' I said angrily, I hated when everyone knew everyone elses buisness
'Yeah, Kerry told us' Bryan replied,unsure of how Shane was going to react 'Kerry went over to Ashley's after getting a phone call . She was bawling crying down the phone .Kez was really upset too.'
My eyes filled up again, Mark tried to comfort me and I forced a smile but it was no use,What was there to smile about,She was gone forever. Nicky then entered the room looking pleased and relieved until he noticed the tension in the room then his smile quikly changed to a serious face.
'How'ya doin' mate?' He asked ,shoving Mark to the side so he could sit next to me.
'How do you think' I replied, wiping my face
'Have you..em..called or anything' He asked me
'Yes, loads of times but cos she's got that screen that tells ye who's calling she won't answer and when I send a text message,she sends it back. God ,she really hates me' I mumbled
'She does't hate you Shane' Bryan assured me 'She's just hurtin',that's all'
Silence then filled the room,no one knew what to say or do when suddenly Kian blurted out..
'GO ROUND' All eyes looked up at Kian who stood with a suprised look on his face
'What,Shut up ,man, if she doesnt want to talk on the phone ,what are my chances she'll let me into her house?'
'You won't know unless ye take the chance' Nicky added
'Oh Oh I know' Mark said,raising his hand like a child
'What?' everyone said in unison
'Don't wait for her to invite you in, just push past then it's not like she can pick ye up and throw you out...she's probably tired of throwing things' He said,looking at all the broken things on the floor.
'You know he may be insane ,but that might just work' Bryan thought aloud. Mark just stood with a 'Im The Best ' look on his face. I thought about it,and the more I did so the more I wanted to go around and give it a try. Hey, she could tell me were to go, listen and slam the door or mabye,just mabye ,she'd talk to me.
'I'll do it' I yelled whilst jumping up and headed towards the door.
'Erm Shay' Nicky called after me
'You're not gonna stop me I'm going to see her,I HAVE to see her' I said to him
'Oh no mate ,I know I'm not gonna stop you..It's just..you might wanna change your clothes and shave first you know, just try a little!'
I went red with embarassment and then ran around trying to get myself together.
When we reached just outside her door,I paused.
'I can't do it' I said ,dissapointed in myself
'Yes,you can' Nicky said shoving me up to her door 'You have to'
'We'll be right behind you' Bryan called.
'Ok...NO ,She can not see you' I said 'She might get annoyed'
As I rang her door bell,the other four jumped into a near by headge, I couldn't help but laugh,when all I saw was Mark's foot sticking out and Kian telling Bryan to get his elbow out of Kian's eye!
The door slowly opened. There she stood in one of my Ireland football tops,a pair of denims, mis-matched socks and her hair hanging lose. My heart melted when I saw her eyes all red, she too was still crying. 'I did that' I thought to myself.
'What are you doing here?' She whispered ,suprised and angry to see me
'We need to talk' I said as I gently pushed past her and entered the house where I walked futher up the hall.
The other lads scrambled from the bush and ran up to the door where Ashley stood with her back to them. Nicky and Bryan didn't judge their distance to well..
'Come on in' She hissed ,sarcastically, whilst she kicked the door shut and it slammed. I heard a small murmur of Nicky and Bryan getting thier faces whacked by the door and couldnt help giggle. BIG mistake.
'OH GREAT' she screamed 'Just come here to have a laugh at me did ya'? Well ha bloody ha ,lets all have a big laugh at Ashley'
I stood there looking at her as she broke into tears again,wanting to give her a hug and tell her everything was going to be alright ,but how could I when all of this was caused by me?!
'Ashley... Im sorry, I love you more than anything in this universe, you're my everything .' These words just seemed to blurt out and I couldn't stop them. She stared at me for a second.
'Love me, Love me' she yelled angrily coming a little closer 'How the hell can you come here and say that to me after you slept with my best mate? That's not love' she cried,slamming her fist against the wall.
'It was a mistake' I shouted 'A god damn ,drunken mistake and Im sorry, we all make mistakes ' I moved slightly closer,where I was then a few inches from her shaking body.
'It's over ,Shane' She whispered, wiping her face of tears and looking deep into my eyes before glancing at the floor.
'No..' I said .I felt soooo sick.My world had just collapsed. 'We cant...surely we can...'
'I'm sorry' She said 'But how can we go on when all I can see when I close my eyes is you with her, and it doesn't matter what you do or say it's changed everyting , and I ..I dont think it'll ever be the same.'
I wasn't gonna give it up that easy. I grabbed her shoulders and looked deeply into her eyes.
'Ok I slept with her,I regret it so much and yes it will be hard to patch things up again but ,for God's sake Ashley,I am NOT going to give up on us just because you're too scared to even try again'
'I just dont wanna be hurt again' she cried 'Shay I ....'
Before she could say another world ,I silenced her with a kiss.When I pulled away she stared at me with a look that told me it was ok to do it again...So I did!
The kiss grew more and more passionate and as she ran her fingers through my hair and down my neck,as she had always done before, I lifted her and pulled her closer then I backed against the wall. The kiss was so strong and powerful,it was as if we couldn't get enough. When we pulled away tears of happiness streamed down her face.
'Shay, I'm sorry, I love you' she said
'Im sorry too,babe, I love you' I cried .I'd never been so happy. As I leaned in to kiss her again we both paused and turned our attention to the door where Nicky and Bryan were peering through the letter box ,shoving each other out the way for a better veiw of our reconciliation.
'Awwww' they both exclaimed. Ashley and I laughed at the pair in disbelief how stupid they could actually be!
Ashley grined at them then at me ,took my hand and led me to her bedroom ,where she then slammed the door shut.
'Ach, Heeeeyyyyy No Fair' Nicky yelled 'Now we can't see anything!!'
'Oooooo bedroom window' Bryan jumped up and turned to Nicky.
Nicky then shoved him into Mark and they both toppled into the bush that Mark had just managed to climb out of!!
