| It's another very lonely day for Izzy at the bar. She doesn't realise that her life's about to change when Westlife pop in. She fancies Mark, no matter what he does. But the romance begins after Mark is at Izzy's home...and then broken by her friend, Christine. Will Izzy ever have back the life... and the love of Mark? |
|
Izzy walked into the bar. It was nearly ten thirty, so she decided to spend
the rest of her time there. She always came at this time, because not many
people were there. There were only a few people there, about six if it
included her. She walked over to the bartender. "Hey Martin, gimme a Dry
Martini." she asked. Martin was her best friend and she could trust him
with anything, but they seldom talked or saw eachother. "Coming''' right up
Izzy, don't worry." he replied. He gave her the dry Martini. "Thanks." she
said and straight away, she went to sit at a table. "Finally, peace and
quiet." She took a book to read from her bag and flipped to the page where
she left from. Suddenly her peace was destroyed, because the table across was shouting out loud. "Hey Shane, whatever did ya do to the table!" one of them shouted. "Shane?" Izzy whispered to herself. She looked at the table, then quickly turned back again. "Oh My God! It Westlife!" she whispered again to herself. "Remain calm don't scream!" she told herself and kept on reading her book. But she really wasn't. She was smiling because Mark was sitting there. "I got everyone a watch. Not just an ordinary watch! It's a video watch, which means I can see you anywhere." he explained as he handed each Westlifer a watch. "This watch even has sound!" he boasted. "Wow!" exclaimed Nicky. Bryan looked over Kian. "Who's the gal over there?" he asked Shane. Mark looked. "She's gorgeous!" he whispered to Shane. "Mark..." Shane chuckled. "Look guys, if he likes her, he likes her." Kian said without looking at Mark. "Fine! If you guys keep on going on like this, she'll hear us. I'm going to her." Mark stood up. The boys just stopped talking and looked at him in awe. "You're not serious, are ya mate?" asked Nicky. "Yer, I am, and none of ya guys can stop me!" he cried. Izzy saw Mark walk slowly to her. She ignored his appearance, even though Mark was her favorite member. Martin watched as he went over to her. "Um, can I have your autograph?" he tried to ask Mark. But he took no notice of him. Before Izzy knew it, everyone was staring, and very curious. "What's gonna happen?" Kian asked Nicky. "I dunno." Nicky replied. They continued to watch. "Hello." Mark said. Izzy looked up. "Hi!" she replied. Then the cutest smile formed on Mark's face. She began to feel more excited. She smiled her best smile back. "Is anyone sitting here?" asked Mark, pointing at the chair in front of Izzy. "No. I came here alone." she replied. She bit her lip. "Oh." and he sat down. "I'm Mark." he held out his hand. "I'm Izzy." they shook hands. Izzy caught the feeling that the hands fitted together perfectly. "Is that your nickname?" he asked. "Yeah, but I prefer that name than my real one. My real name's Isabella." she told him. "Okay." He paused. "So, you told me you were here alone, right?" "Correct. I was deserted." she paused an looked at Mark. "I'm sorry about the boys. They're always like that." "It's okay. I'm used to loud noise and boys." Izzy smiled. The both of them kept on talking. Mark never seemed to run out of topics, especially the one about Westlife. Izzy answered all the questions he asked correctly. Finally, he ran out of topics, and that was when they had to leave the bar."Marky mate! We've gotta go!" shouted Bryan. "I'll be with ya later. You go on ahead." he cried back. The boys left in Shane's car. "Let's see what happens." and turned on the watch. "So, see ya." Izzy said. "Wait, can I have your phone number?" he asked. Izzy said sure, and wrote on a piece of paper. She handed it to Mark. "Here. I'm always free." She smiled, but she was shaking. What's he gonna do now? she thought. Mark kissed her on the cheek. Izzy was like, Oh my God! He kissed me! 'Can I walked you home?" he asked. "Uh, sh-sh-sure." And they walked holding hands together. Mark had a particular feeling. A feeling when he liked a girl. He couldn't stop staring at Izzy, and everytime they held hands, he also had the feeling that they fit together perfectly. Izzy thought about what was going to happen at her apartment. It was the first time she ever had a boy doing this to her. They finally arrived at Izzy's place, "Can I come in?" he asked. "Just for a few mins." She replied. Mark smiled and walked in. Izzy followed after him and went to the elevator. Inside, Mark held Izzy close to him all the time. She felt very weird and the elevator suddenly stopped at the first floor. She lead him to the door and opened it. "Here we are." she said, and opened the door. But it turned out Mark stayed for hours! They had got to know each other as if they had grown up together. Izzy felt comfortable in his presence, it had been so long since the last boy came into her house. "Izzy, what's your personal number?" "3" "Which means" he asked. "Creative, energetic and friendly." "Lucky number?" "6" "Year Number?" "6" "Which means?" he asked again. "Hardworking, strong-willed and independent." They laughed. Suddenly Mark got a little hysterical, which made Izzy laugh out loud! They laughed for such a long time, for like three hours! it was all because Mark had become hysterical; Izzy had no idea why. The more Mark did, the more she loved him. Suddenly something whizzed through the air! "What was that?" Mark shouted. Izzy looked around. "Mark, it's only my canary, you're not afraid of it, are you?" she asked, shivering. "To tell you the truth," Mark said while looking around, "I hate birds, rats and especially snakes!" he imitated a snake. "I get freaked out!" The bird whizzed by again, and Mark jumped two meters in the air! Izzy tried to catch the bird, but missed and was standing right underneath where Mark was still up, hanging on to the lamp. "Mark! Watch out!" the lamp was shaking, and then it fell. Luckily the lamp fell in a different place, and Mark fell into Izzy's arms! They stared at eachother with big, surprised eyes, cos Mark landed in Izzy's arms and that he jumped two meters in the air! Izzy sighed. "Wow, you're damn scared of birds I can tell!" she laughed. "Oh shut it you!" Mark laughed back and hugged Izzy unexpectedly. She felt the warmth of Mark, but something in her mind was telling her this was not a good idea. She pulled away. "Mark, I don't think we're suppose to be doing this." she said. Mark snorted. "I don't care." Izzy smiled as Mark kissed her on the head and hugged her. This time, Izzy didn't do anything. She just wrapped her arms around him. Mark gently pulled away. "I've gotta go. Shane'll be wondering where I've gone." "Okay." Izzy lead him to the door. "Bye." "See ya, mate." he replied. Shane was watching them on the watch, and so were the others. They finally stopped watching, and all went to sleep. Shane only pretended to, but soon he fell asleep again for good. When Mark reached Shane's home, he found out everyone was sleeping already, and he rang the doorbell a million times but no one answered. "Damn, what the hell am I going to do, sleep on the street?" He thought for a bit, then he paced back and forward for bout' 30 minutes, and finally came up with an idea. "Izzy?" He said to himself. "I'll give her a shot. Maybe she'll do it for me." And walked back to her house. Izzy was watching a romantic comedy in her bedroom, but she really wasn't watching it. She was thinking about Mark. Mark, her friend, Mark, Mark, Mark. She couldn't get him off her mind. "I love you Danielle, and I want you to be my wife." the movie said. Izzy waited till the movie was finished, and as soon as the words 'the end' came on, Izzy went to get changed. Mark was right in front of Izzy's house. "Ok. How am I going to get up. I need to... climb the pipe!" and so he did. Luckily he remembered she lived on the first floor, so it wasn't a problem. Izzy was changing in her room, and while Mark was climbing up to her bed room window, he saw her naked! "Wow!" he whispered to himself. Unfortunately, he lost his grip and fell down. "AHHHH!" he screamed. The big "CRASH" came after he landed down flat on the ground. "Ouch!" he said. Luckily Izzy heard it, so she looked out of her window. "Mark?" she said. Mark waved weakly. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "I'll tell you if I can get up to you." he answered weakly again. "Hold on, um, I'm going down." She put on a dress and flew downstairs. She ran to him. Mark was still there, laying down on his back. "Mark! Are you okay?" she cried. "Yeah" he paused. "Let me help you up." he said, and helped him to get up. They took the elevator because Mark couldn't walk yet, his legs were in serious pain. "Maybe ya need to rest on the couch before ya walk. I'll fix ya some coffee." she offered. "Thanks alot." he replied. He smelt Izzy's hair. "Your hair smells good, like Vanilla." "Thanx. It smells good-cos I took a shower." She smiled. They reached the first floor and slowly walked in. "So what happened?" Izzy asked Mark. "Well, Shane was sleeping and I rang the doorbell a million times, and no one answered it. So I decided to stay here and sleep for the night...that is if you let me." He looked at Izzy in a begging look. Izzy thought. "It's fine with me, but you'll have to promise me not to wake me up in the middle of the night." she said. "Sure! I'm always knackered, but thanks so Much!" and hugged Izzy until it nearly starved her of air. He muttered thank yous into her hair and all Izzy could say was, it's alright! You can stop hogging me now. He let go of her. "You have anything I can wear?" he asked. "Yeah! I got me father's pajamas which he gave me, but their much to big for me. Maybe they'll fit ya." he said. "Thanx again!" and hugged her. Mark let go of her again. "I've got something to give you." he said. Thinking quickly, cos Mark had nothing in his pockets, handed her a ring. "This belonged to me mam, you can have it." Izzy looked at the ring, it was a mood ring! "Oh Mark!" and flung her arms around him. Mark hugged her back. They gently pulled away from eachother. Izzy gently kissed Mark's cheek, and he kissed her back. She bit her lip. Then Izzy went to the bedroom to get a blanket, a pillow and the clothes he needed to wear. When she came back, Mark asked her a question. "Izzy, how many couches do you have?" he asked. "Three. One in my bedroom and two here." she replied truthfully. Mark thought. "Can I sleep in the one in the bedroom?" he asked. Izzy thought. "Sure." and helped him get inside. Mark and Izzy lay on their beds for the night. "Goodnight!" they said at the same time. And they went to sleep. The next morning, they woke up together, because the doorbell rang. Izzy fixed her hair, made sure it didn't look messy and walked to the door. "Hey Iz!" Oh no! Trouble! She thought. "Christine!?" she cried. Christine was her best friend, but she also had the world's largest crush on Mark. "Izzy! Who is it?" Mark called from the bedroom. "Oh my God! Is that Mark Feehily!" she cried and rushed to the bedroom. She caught Mark watching Friends. "Hello." Christine shouted excitedly. "Hi!" He looked at Izzy. "Friend of yours?" "Uh, yeah. This is Christine." Mark said, "I've gotta get changed. Mind if I borrow your car, Christine?" he asked. "Duh, sure." she said and handed him the keys. Mark got changed quickly and went to the door. He kissed Izzy goodbye. "I'll call you." he smiled. "Wait! I'll go with you Mark!" cried Christine. And so they did. 30 minutes later, Mark called Izzy up. "Hello." "Hey, Izzy, howiya?" "Fine Mark! You?" "Aw, grand. Listen, I just wanna check on ya. Christine's fine and so is Shane. He promised never to do it again." "that's great!" she said. "Thanx for the check up mate!" she said. "See ya!" and he hung up. Over the next few weeks, the girls (Christine and Izzy) would go and see the boys, and they made great friends with them. They met Georgina, Nicky's girlfriend, they went sightseeing around Ireland, they went to amusement parks and especially went to go on their tour around Dublin. Mark kept close to Christine, and Izzy had a feeling that something was going on. One day, Kian called up to see if she could join them for lunch. "No, I can't. I've got company here." she lied. "Okay. See ya!" and she hung up. She went to the park with a knife and a brush. She found a tree which was good for carving. Izzy carved a heart, saying, MARK AND IZZY FOREVER, and she brushed it afterwards and kissed it goodbye. On the way back Izzy hoped it would never get broken. And she was thinking about Mark with Christine. They made a good couple, but the love thing she wasn't sure about. Mark was still the same, check up calls and boring news, but one night he finally called for a different reason. "Hello." she said. "Hi!" "Hi Mark." "So, okay?" "Yep everything is good." "Listen, I was wondering if you could join us for out dinner." "Sure. When?" "5.00 today." Izzy paused. "Is Christine coming?" "Oh? You mean she didn't tell you? She was the one who planned it." "That's great!" she lied. "I'm going out with her." Then Izzy hung up quickly. "Izzy? Izzy?" Mark said. "What did I say?" he wondered. Izzy paced back and forward in her bedroom. She knew what was going on. Mark and Christine were going out! She shouted at herself for being too angry. "Anyway, she's my best friend." she said calmly. She settled down on the bed and watched a violent movie. That evening, Izzy was in the restaurant, when she noticed two people getting out of a car. They kissed then entered. Izzy knew it was Christine and Mark, but she forced herself not to look at them anymore. The other four lads and Georgina greeted Izzy with hellos. Bryan was the same, the large hug that starved you of air. Nicky and Georgina greeted her with a big hello, she hugged them both. Shane and Kian kissed her on the cheek and hugged her. Mark seemed like he was in a world of his own. He never stopped staring at Christine, but he noticed the lads getting up so came over. For those few moments Izzy and him hugged she felt comfortable again, but when he left she was back into reality again. The people Izzy trusted most were Kian, Nicky and Georgina. Shane and Bryan went out for a chat, but it started to rain. She looked at Mark longingly. "Izzy, are you alright." Nicky asked. She sighed. "No." she sadly explained. "What happened? Was it bad?" Georgina asked. "It was really heartbreaking." She said. "Tell us." Kian begged. "Well, I'm in love with Mark, and I've been in love with him ever since I met him. Now I told you that I was heartbroken, because he loves Christine. Now I'm stuck." she explained. "Izzy, you know Mark loves Christine right? Well if he does, leave em' alone, you know there are better guys than Mark." Kian said. "I agree, and if Mark proposes to Christine, it's going to be very hard for you." Georgina added. "True! Very true! But the only chance of getting him back is if they have a fight. " Nicky said, as he held Georgina's hand tight. "I know, my life's over without Mark, but I don't wanna hurt Christine, cos she's my best friend." "Izzy, Nicky and I know she's your best friend, but maybe you should write to her about this. It's better to let her know." Georgina explained. "That's a good idea. I'll do that tonight. But, he gave me this ring to say thanks for letting him sleep at my place for the night, but I think I need a bigger reason than thanks." Izzy said. "That's true. It's better to know what he gave it for, but not just to say thanks. I have an idea, give me the ring, and I'll give it back to him when you've left for home." "We'll help. We're friends, what are friends for." Izzy started to cry. "Oh God!" and hugged all three of them. "I don't know whatever you I do with you guys. You're the best friends I ever had in my life. She took the ring off. "Here Kian. Make sure you give it to him." "Trust me." he smiled. "Good luck, Izzy. Don't worry, we'll be there when you need help." Nicky and Georgina said together. "Oh!" and she hugged them again. "I'll be going now. Thanks so much for the help." "Good luck!" Kian whispered. Nicky and Georgina waved goodbye. "I feel so sorry for her." Georgina said. "So do I, she sounds very heartbroken." Nicky replied. Mark and Christine walked by the trio. The rain splashed on the rooftop while they went out. "I had a great time Christine." Mark admitted. "So did I." And they kissed eachother. "Bye." said Christine. She left in her taxi. Mark went back to the restaurant and bumped into Izzy. "Bye Mark." were the only words she said. She left without letting Mark say a word. "Marky mate!" shouted Kian from across the room. "I've got something for ye." Mark looked at Kian. Kian walked over to him. "Here." And handed him the ring. "Where did you get this?" asked Mark. "Oh, Izzy gave it to me to give back to you." he explained. "Why?" "I'll just tell you one thing. She's upset. Izzy walked home in the pouring rain. She took the shortcut through the park, where the tree with the heart was. Izzy stopped by it, and luckily she had the knife, carved the line where the heart had been broken. Right in the middle of it. She walked back to her home soaking wet. When she got inside, she took a very warm shower to make her warm up. She put her shirt and jeans on then sat down at her desk to write Christine a letter. Dear Christine, U must have had a great time with Mark. I could tell U did. I need your help. I'm in lurve with a boy but now he's gone for another girl. I don't know what to do, I gave him back my most prized possession, his mood ring. I still love him, what do I do? Izzy She faxed it to Christine. She didn't feel like putting Mark's name in it. A few weeks later, she got a reply from Christine. Dear Iz, If you love this guy, don't wait to tell him you do! Tell him right away. Don't hesitate. Guess what? My dream is coming true! Mark Proposed to me! The wedding's next week, do come! Christine The letter confirmed her worst nightmare. Mark was getting married to Christine. Izzy didn't know what to do. She phoned up Kian and asked if he could come over. Kian said yes, and soon he was at Izzy's place. "We all have doubts about Mark's marriage to Christine. Shane thinks Christine really obsessed with her looks, Bryan thinks she's a big showoff, Nicky thinks she's too absent minded, Georgina thinks she's impolite and I think she's got another boyfriend!" Izzy looked at Kian. "How did you know that?" "I went to her place and saw a pic and her diary saying she loves this guy called Angus!" Izzy frowned. "Oh crap!" "No don't you see?" "Yeah I do, but I don't think Mark'll be running to me." "Oh Cheer up." Kian hugged her. "Don't worry." Kian left a few mins later. Izzy lay down on the bed, thinking of what to do. Suddenly the phone rang! Izzy struggled to get it. First, she landed flat on the floor. Then she tripped over the footstool, then she got her foot stuck underneath the couch, then she banged her head on the wall and finally got to the phone. "Hello?" "Hello Izzy. It's me, Georgina." "Oh hello." "Look, I'm sorry about Mark. Nicky and I aren't attending." "Neither am I. I'm too upset. But I still love Mark, and I don't wanna ruin it for Christine cos she's my best friend, but I don't wanna go to the wedding." "It's hard Izzy, and I know it is." "I know, but Mark's found his love and I'm left out." "Izzy, if it's true love, then you should never give up." Izzy thought. "Thanks Georgina." "Bye." "bye" and she hung up. The next week, Izzy didn't attend the wedding. Mark called up Nicky and Georgina, while Christine called up Izzy to ask why didn't they attend. They did the same. They hung up on them. Izzy was the one who was most upset, she had lost the love of her life and the only chance. Two years later Izzy was now 20 years old, and Mark was with Christine for two years now. She didn't give up the love she had for Mark. She remembered the last conversation she had with Georgina and the last sentence she said. If it's true love, than you should never give up." "Mark, you mean you don't love me anymore!" Shouted Christine. "Yeah, Izzy must be the only one who likes you!" he shouted back. "Don't betray me like that! I've got loads of friends!" "BOY friends?" he asked her. Christine paused. "About that boy of yours, Angus, you love him, and you tell me now after two years of our marriage?" he stormed. Christine's anger flamed up. "That's it! I'm not spending the rest of my life with you. I'm marrying Angus because I trust him more than you!" and with that she stormed out of the house. It started to rain outside. Then Mark's memory came back. The reason why Izzy gave him the ring back was because he was dating Christine. He ran downstairs as the thunder flashed in the sky. Mark ran to the restaurant where he and Christine last had dinner at. He didn't find her there, so he went to the bar, and didn't find her there either. So he took a shortcut through the park where Izzy carved the heart. Mark found it on the way, and realized he made a huge mistake. He touched the broken heart and pulled out the ring. He soon found himself running to Izzy's house. Izzy was going out at that time, and Mark was getting close to her. They soon bumped into eachother. "Mark!" "Izzy!" they hugged. Izzy pulled away. "I thought I'd never see you again!" She laughed. The both of them were wet. They hugged again. "Can we go inside your house?" he asked. "Sure." And they walked inside. Izzy made themselves a cup of coffee. "What brings you here?" she asked Mark. "I broke up with Christine." "Oh Mark. I'm so sorry." She kissed him on the cheek. She noticed he was holding something in his right hand. "What are ya holding?" she asked. He opened his hand. The ring! She realized. "Here's something that might sound familiar. I was suppose to say it to Christine, but she wasn't right, so here it goes." Mark paused. The more I know of you, is the more I know I love you. And the more that I'm sure, I want you forever and ever more. And the more that you love me, the more that I know, that I'm never gonna let you go, gotta let you know that I... I'm never gonna say goodbye, cos I never wanna see you cry. I swore to you my love would remain, and I swear it all over again and I, I never wanna treat you bad, cos I never wanna see you sad, I swore to share your joy and you pain, and I swear it all over again. Izzy loved to hear Mark sing, it only made he happier. "I love you." Mark admitted. "I love you too." she replied. Mark bent his head over, and kissed her. Izzy could feel the moistness of his lips, and she finally had got her dream man back. Mark gently parted. "I love you so much, I swear you'll say yes if I asked you to be my wife." "Of course!" and for the second time that night, they kissed. |
