Fans meetings with the lads... By Becky Alderson, Jvnbaldi@btinternet.com It was on the date of 29th October that i was about to decide and plan something to change my life. in the mail I got a postcard from BMG interact it said that westlife my favourite band ever were signing autographs in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, but the thing is i live in a small town in Cumbria the closest place was Glasgow 130 miles from my house!!! so as soon as my dad got in from work the first thing i did was show him the postcard and begged him to take me! im lucky that my dad said yes straight away and within 2 mins i had planned the whole journey out!! i couldn't wait it was on the 5th November they were signing I knew it was going o be big so I asked if we could go on the 4th on the Saturday night before the signing on the Sunday, he said ok so on the Sat night we set off at about 9 o clock with sleeping bags and abit of food!! about 3 hours later we got to Glasgow and looked for Buchanan street where the megastore was! we saw about 20 girls waiting ,"yes I would definatly meet them as there was not many there I would be near the front of the queue" so we got in the queue and waited for what seemed like days but what was actually about 17 HOURS!!! 5 o clock finally came on the Sunday afternoon I was sooooo excited the doors opened I got lead in and I went up the stairs and turned around there they were my life, Westlife, I saw Bryan first he waved at me and I nearly fainted. There were cameras in my face and I got took down to the table I was shakeing and crying I gave bry a hug and a kiss I gave him a rose and a teddy he talked to me for abit but I just stared at him, I got the autographs and was soo hysterical it was really good though I finally got to Nicky my fave and he kissed me and I was shaking and crying he told me to calm down and he asked how I was I think I said something like "yyyyeeehh iimmm fifiiiinee thankk youuu", anyway I had such a good time im gonna meet them when they do something like that again it was well worth the queuing time!!! >> Back to main Fan Encounters page |
