Fans meetings with the lads... By Andrea, CARLJOHNO@aol.com I went to see westlife on the 1st of September in Blackpool because they were turning on the lights.- When i first heard westlife were turning on the Blackpool lights was when i saw a advert on the tv, i asked my Grandad could he run me up there and he said yeah so on the 1st of September we set off from the house about 6ish, i knew it was miles too late but my Mum and Grandad wouldn't set out any earlier, so i'm in the car with my Mobile, a poster of Westlife in case they would be able to sign it and a poster of Billie Piper in case she could sign it for me as well. We set off in the car with the radio station on that was there at Blackpool doing the show. The radio was saying how full the place was and i was thinking i'm never gonna be able to see Westlife. Anyways we got to Blackpool and we were looking everywere for a place to park, but there were no places anywere so we had to go into the car park. We didnt know how to get to the place were Westlife were singing so we asked a poilce man and he took us there, when we got there i couldn't see anything on the stage, i couldn't even see the stage. When i got to the barrier i was really in a bad mood and upset because i couldn't see, then the security guard said 'what's the matter?' and i told him what was wrong then he told me, to go round to a street, i think it was market street but anyways he said Westlife's car will be coming in there soon. So i rushed around to market street, my Mum was running with a pram with my sister in it, my brother was complaning he was tired and my Grandad was trying to catch up holding his back in pain!!!!!, but at the time i didnt care at all i just wanted to see Westlife. Billie arrived in her car and waved to everybody then went onto stage and did a performace when she came off Westlife arrived in the car, their car was really posh, it was dark blue with about 8 leather seats in it. Before they went onto the stage they waved to everybody then they sang 2 songs and started counting down for the lights to come on. When they came off stage i ran to the bottem of the street and stood at the end of a crowd, I saw Bryan in a different car with a paramedic with a mask on his face, i was wondering what was wrong with him. Then the rest of Westlife drove by and Mark waved to me, The car werent driving that fast and Mark had his window down so i nearly graped his arm but the car went faster as it want around the corner. I was like OK MARKS JUST WAVED AT ME!!!!! Then i went to the shop to buy some rock and went home. >> Back to main Fan Encounters page |
