Fans meetings with the lads... By Lior, ankoryr@netvision.net.il On May 6, Westlife performed in my country!! It was SO GREAT, and Bryan remembered me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, the day I heard they were coming, I called the place which sold the tickets and bought for me and my friends (we were 6 girls!!!), but unfortunately, there were no seats, which meant, we had to stand, and the more earlier you got there, the better place you had. The show started at 8 o'clock, but I had to be there at least by 6, and to be on the way at least by 3. It's a way of 2 hours at least. Finally we entered the place, and a LOT of girls were already standing there!!! It was SO hot there, and everybody was pushing everybody in order to get the closest to the stage. I don't know how, but I was able to be the closest- which means, to stand NEXT to the stage, but it was so hot and like 10 girls next to me fainted because of the heat. The security people tried to give some water, but everyone was like "fighting" to get them (GOD!!!!! IT SOUNDS SO AWFUL!!!! LIKE A ...WAR OR SOMETHING!!!!), and I couldn't get any, so I didn't drink ANYTHING!! I thought to myself, what the hell am I doing here? I shouldn't have come! Then, when the concert started, I didn't think anymore..............:)))))))))) It was SO great!!!!!!! When I saw Bry, I remembered little things from the meeting, things that I didn't remembered before, and when I saw him I remembered. They sang "If I Let You Go" (twice), "Seasons In The Sun" (twice), "I Don't Wanna Fight," "I Need You," "Open Your Heart," "More Than Words" (and the the funniest thing happened! I'll tell you about it), "Flying Without Wings," "Swear It Again," "Fool Again," "No No".....did I forget something? I think I didn't. The funny thing was that Bryan actually forgot the words in "More Than Words" (and it's an ironic name......isn't it....? :) )!!! It was his solo part, and he had to sing "is all I ever needed you to show...then you wouldn't have to say," and he didn't rememebr it!! So all he did was just falling on the floor and laughing!!!!!!! Yes! It was so funny! Maybe it doesn't sound funny, but I laughed so much as well as everybody. Mark also had to sing his solo part "what would you do if my heart was torn in two," and he forgot the words (what's happening to them?!:) ), but he was calm and made up some words. It sounded like "what would you do if I took my heart from you...."!!!! In the song "Seasons In The Sun," Shane wanted to sing "now that the spring is in the air with the flowers everywhere," and he sang "you tried to teach me right from wrong," and then didn't know what to sing next, but you can count on Shane!:) He let the audience sing! I think these were the only wrong things they did in the show. I loved that in "More Than Words" Kian played the guitar! Also, they sang lovely, and didn't just move their lips when the music was playing, like other bands. Now, the favourite part........:) When they sang "Fool Again," I managed to get the closest to the stage, and I was standing right in front of Bryan!! There wasa part when he didn't have to sing, just had to dance, and there weren't a lot of people who screamed in this part, so I kinda "used" it and screamed "Bryan!!!" and he heard me! First of all he looked at me all the time and I didn't know why, I thought that maybe he looked in other direction, but my friend who was standing next to me said "Lior, he's looking at you! Maybe he remembers you!!!". I didn't believe he had done that, but then suddenly he pointed at me and then pointed back on his head with his finger, and said (it was quite impossible to hear him but he moved his lips) "I remember you." I know it might sound like a lie or like something I made up, but it HAPPENED! I'm still shocked when I think about it! I mean, how the hell did he remember me?? He took millions of pics with millions of girls, so how did he remember just me?!?? Well, I guess it'll always be a mystery for me, but I can say finally that it was one of the best days of my life, for sure!!! >> Back to main Fan Encounters page |
